How to Install Attic Insulation
Man insulating attic

The insulation should be pressed in lightly between the joists.

Do not press too hard or it will become compressed.

Use a saw or a sharp knife to cut the blanket when you reach the opposite side of the attic, remember always leave an adequate gap for ventalation.

All other joists should be laid with insulation in the same manner.

If you are joining two rolls, make a butt joint by pressing the ends tight to each other.

Do not leave any gaps.

At the gable wall, insulation should be turned up 225mm above ceiling level.
